Most Delicious Indonesian Food
Hmm those chunks are called "Terang Bulan" in Surabaya, as in Jakarta they called it "Martabak Manis". It is one of the most DELICIOUS and FATTENING food of all kind. It is rumoured that in order to burn up the calories of one slice of that chunk, one needs to run 10 rounds of soccer field. I dunno how long is a soccer field since I am not a soccer player and only watched the game from TV, but I am pretty sure it's quite tiring.
Many people have tried to make those terang bulan, including myself since I love it soo damn much, however always turned up to be a failure o(>.<)o I finally figured out that buying is much easier than making it myself =P.
So let's get down to the point "Where is the best place to get this item in Surabaya?" There are several places, however not all of them are good. The first one is "Martabak N Terang Bulan Holland". Careful not to be confused with Holland cake bakery otherwise you might end up finding different items =P The address of this store is on Jl. Mayjen Sungkono (Komp. Wonokitri Indah) Blok S No. 9-12. There are other stores locations that you may google and you may find one that closer to your living area.
The second place I love to go is "Lang Ling Long". It is hard to tell exactly where the location of this store. You wanna know why? because they dont have a store !! Confused huh =P They sell their Terang Bulan with a mini van, and they have a motto "If You Wanna Buy This Terang Bulan, Just Follow This Car". What a jerk =P *just kidding hehehe. Usually their car stop at certain location as follows: Jl. HR. Muhammad and Jl A. Yani. Too bad I can't help you guys with more location since I only know those two locations. If you know more of their location by following their car you may tell me where else they go =P
The third place to get good terang bulan is "Terang Bulan Mahkota" The location of the store is on Jl. Tidar (in front of Ayam Goreng Jakarta) and Jl. Mulyosari (in front of Ayam Goreng Jakarta). I dunno why they always open their store in front of Ayam Goreng Jakarta ??? But no mistaking it, their terang bulan is DAMN GOOD =P
Beside those 3 places I am sure there are other places that I haven't gone to, there is possibility that their terang bulan is good or maybe even better than those 3 I mentioned. But dont buy the one on the street side, otherwise you will end up hating terang bulan hehehe =P Chreers, o(^_^)o Hubert o(^_^)o
